NT-proBNP is produced by pro-Brain Natriuretic Peptide that secreted by ventricular muscle cells which has been cut by enzyme . When ventricular volume load or pressure overload increase, there will be more proBNP that synthesized and released by cardiac cells . Accordingly, there will be more NT-proBNP. So NT-proBNP is closely related to the left ventricular dysfunction. NT-proBNP has important clinical application value in clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, guide the treatment and prognostic analysis.
The HIGHTOP NT-proBNP along with the HIGHTOP HTY-100 PLUS Reader is a fluorescence immunoassay that quantifies the total N-Terminal pro-Brain Natriuretic Peptide (NT-proBNP) concentration in human serum/plasma.
